Frequently Asked Questions

What is Hibiscus Iced Tea?

It’s a still infusion made by steeping dried hibiscus flowers in water, then balancing their natural tartness with ginger, pineapple, cinnamon and agave.

The result is deeply refreshing, full of flavour and difficult to describe as “just another iced tea.”

What does it taste like?

Bright and fruity, with the sharpness of hibiscus, warmth from fresh ginger, gentle sweetness from pineapple and agave, and cinnamon quietly doing its job in the background.

It’s tart, lightly sweet and best served properly cold.

Is it fizzy?

No. Sansa Hibiscus Iced Tea is still.

No bubbles. No dramatic opening ceremony required.

But that version might come later.

What makes Sansa different?

We don’t outsource production to a distant manufacturer and wait for finished bottles to arrive on a truck.

Every batch is made by us in small quantities. That gives us control over the ingredients, flavour and final drink—and allows us to keep improving it instead of pretending the first recipe was handed down on a stone tablet.

Why do you use agave?

Because it brings a gentle sweetness that balances the tart hibiscus without overpowering the ginger and pineapple.

We chose it for the drink it helps us make—not because it happened to look good on a moodboard.

Does Sansa contain caffeine?

No. We don’t use black tea, green tea or any other caffeine-containing tea leaves.

Does it contain alcohol?

No. Sansa Hibiscus Iced Tea contains no alcohol.

Is Sansa suitable for vegans?

Sansa is made without animal-derived ingredients. We are not currently certified by a vegan accreditation body.

Does Sansa contain allergens?

Our recipe does not intentionally contain any of the 14 major UK allergens. Always check the ingredients and allergen information on the bottle before drinking, particularly if you have a serious allergy or intolerance.

Why is there some sediment in my bottle?

Because real ginger, pineapple and hibiscus do not always sit perfectly still.

A little natural separation or sediment can occur. It is harmless. Give the bottle a gentle shake before opening.

Why might one batch look slightly different from another?

Hibiscus, ginger and pineapple are agricultural ingredients, so their colour and flavour can naturally vary.

We adjust and taste every batch to keep Sansa consistent, but small variations are part of making drinks from real ingredients rather than reproducing them from concentrates.

Does Sansa need to be refrigerated?

Sansa is delivered at ambient temperature. Place the bottles in the fridge as soon as your order arrives and keep them refrigerated.

How should I serve it?

Cold. Very cold.

Give the bottle a gentle shake, open it and drink straight from the bottle or pour it over ice. A decent glass is optional but encouraged when company is present.

How long does it last?

Check the date printed on your bottle and follow the storage instructions.

Once opened, keep it refrigerated and drink within 24 hours. Leaving half a bottle unfinished for longer than that also raises questions we are not qualified to answer.

How much is delivery?

Tracked 48-hour delivery costs £5.95 for orders under £25.

Spend £25 or more and delivery is free.

Is Sansa delivered chilled?

No. Your drinks are sent at ambient temperature.

When the box arrives, move the bottles straight into the fridge. Their journey is over. Yours is about to improve considerably.
